WestCorp International now NAMAQUA was launched on 13 November 2002 and is the result
of Vredendal and Spruitdrift Wineries pooling their resources.
This new company is situated on the banks of the Olifantsriver
and lies 300 km north of Cape Town, but only 20km away from the
cold Atlantic West Coast. Our brands, Namaqua and Goiya, already
household names in the UK, are key to our future expantion plans.
Being the largest, in this case also mean one
of the most progressive. This state of the art facility boasts
some interesting "firsts" in the wine industry: First
ever to install the new OTOR technology for Bag-in-Box plant in
SA, the first SA winery to be audited and to receive their ISO,
HACCP and BRC accreditation at the same time, and the very first
SA wine to advertise at a major sporting event, the SA/British
Cricket series in the UK during Autumn of 2003. |
